NON-NANO ZINC OXIDE
Zinc oxide is a powdered mineral that acts as a physical barrier which shields your skin from the suns rays. It sits on top of the skin, scattering, reflecting, and absorbing UVA and UVB rays. A non-nano particle of zinc oxide does not enter the blood stream which makes the non-nano type of zine oxide safer. Additionally, non-nano zinc oxide displays broader coverage against UVB, UVA, and blue light, as compared to nano zinc oxide.

ORGANIC COCONUT OIL
Extra virgin organic coconut oil is the most abundant source of lauric acid, a fatty acid known for its antifungal, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is rich in antioxidants that help prevent aging and damage to the skin.
Aside from its anti-aging and skin-healing abilities, it promotes the production of collagen. Naturally rich in vitamin E, soothes and calms irritated skin. Coconut oil has a natural SPF between 2 and 8, and contains antioxidants that help protect the skin from harmful radiation from the sun.

ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER
The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing. Shea butter aids in the skin's natural collagen production. It contains oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. Regular use of raw shea butter can treat itching, burns, small skin wounds, eczema, and skin allergies.
Shea butter has a natural SPF of 6-10.

ORGANIC OLIVE OIL
provides amazing benefits for your skin. In addition to moisturizing your thirsty skin, it's high in vitamins as well as antioxidants, which means that it can help repair, regenerate, and calm your skin.

NATURAL BEESWAX
Used in skin products, beeswax creates a barrier which helps to seal moisture into the skin, at the same time allowing it to breath and protecting from environmental toxins and irritants. Naturally contains vitamin A, which improves hydration to the skin and promotes cell regeneration. Beeswax makes natural sunscreen waterproof.

While an estimate as to the SPF value of our organic sunscreen is slightly above 20, please note that it was not laboratory tested. Always use caution and common sense when spending extended periods of time under the sun. I recommend that you test this sunscreen with your own skin tone by starting with shorter sunbathing sessions. Although beeswax makes our sunscreen waterproof for shorter periods, for best results reapply it every 2-3 hours or after spending time.
